Beer sales up at year’s halfway point

Halfway through 2019, off-premise beer sales in total dollars are up 1.6% to around $18.7 billion, largely thanks to growing sales of hard seltzers, according to Nielsen data. Both Constellation Brands and Mark Anthony Brands saw double-digit gains, while Bud Light and Coors Light experienced declines, IRI data indicate.
